For Spectators
Sprint: Biel / Bienne
Spectators may follow the races live at the “Ringplatz” in the old town of Biel/Bienne, between 14.30 and 17.00 hrs. Opening ceremony at the “Ringplatz” at 17.15 hrs. Welcome. Free entrance.
Long-Distance: Gondiswil
The arena for the Long-Distance races is situated northwest of Gondiswil. Follow the signposts on the road between Gondiswil and Reisiswil to see the runners live. You may cheer the athletes from 09.00 hrs. onwards. The strongest runners will head out into the forest around noon. The flower ceremony takes place at 16.00 hrs.
Sprint Relay
Go to “Wuhrplatz” in Langenthal to see the start of the Sprint Relay at 14:30 hrs. We expect the winners to cross the finish line at 15.30 hrs. The flower ceremony is at 16.00 hrs.
Middle-Distance: Corcelles-Crémines
The arena of the Middle-Distance races is at ‘Aux Vaivres’, north-west of Gänsbrunnen. The races start at 08.45 hrs. and get to a peak at noontime. Flower ceremony takes place at 13.30 hrs. Follow the signposts from Cémines-Zoo.
Relay: Gondiswil
For the Relay the arena is the same as for the Long-Distance. The mass starts are at 08.45 hrs. for the women, and at 09.00 hrs. for the men. Cheer the runners in Gondiswil. Flower ceremony is at 12.45 hrs.
Embargoed Areas
With reference to the Competition Rules for IOF Foot Orienteering Events, the listed areas are strictly out of bounds for all potential 2022 Championship Orienteering team members (competitors, team leaders, coaches, doctors etc.) and other persons who, through their knowledge of the terrain or the events, may influence the result of the competitions.

Orienteering terrain between 650 and 850 m above sea level. Coniferous forest with small semi-open to open Jura pasture. Hill side with moderate to steeper slopes. Some forest roads and hiking trails, no or moderate vegetation on the ground, rich in contour and rock details. Runnability mostly good, visibility good.
